Bonnyrigg Heights Primary School Serbian Student Showcase

17 September 2025

Yesterday Bonnyrigg Heights Primary School hosted its annual Serbian Student Showcase, a celebration of culture, language and community spirit. While I was unable to attend in person, I am proud to place on record the significance of this wonderful event. The showcase, filled with music, dance and student presentations, highlights the importance of preserving cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations. This year attendees were treated to a performance by well‑known trumpeter Toni Trubač. Multiculturalism is one of New South Wales's greatest strengths, and occasions like this remind us that our diversity is a source of pride, strength and unity. I extend my warmest thanks to the dedicated teachers, staff and families, particularly Natasa Bulatovic, whose hard work ensures this celebration takes place each year. Their commitment helps young people connect with their heritage and share it with our wider community. Congratulations to Bonnyrigg Heights Primary School on another Serbian Student Showcase. I only hope that I can join them for next year's showcase. Svakačast deco!
