According to a Japanese proverb, better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher. Imagine the many thousands of days of study that Imad Gendy has saved for his students. Mr Gendy recently reached the incredible milestone of 30 years of dedicated service to public education. He is a much-loved mathematics teacher at James Busby High School, where he has inspired generations of students through his passion for learning and commitment to their success. Over three decades, Mr Gendy has not only taught mathematics but also instilled confidence, curiosity and resilience in his students. James Busby is one of those schools where many of the current teachers are former students. Teachers like Mr Gendy embody the best of our public education system. Their patience, care and consistency create lasting impacts on the lives of young people across the Green Valley area. His colleagues and students alike speak of his kindness, professionalism and genuine desire to see every student reach their potential.
