I acknowledge the recent ordination and installation of Pastor Bruce Flanagan to the Living Waters Lutheran Church in Liverpool and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sutherland. It was wonderful to have the support of National Bishop Paul Smith and NSW/ACT Bishop Richard Schwedes who joined the congregation in Liverpool to conduct the service. This is a significant and joyful occasion for both congregations, marking the beginning of a new chapter of faith, service, and community leadership. In Liverpool, we are fortunate to be home to a diverse and vibrant network of faith groups who not only nurture the spiritual lives of their members but also serve the wider community with generosity, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. Pastor Flanagan's ordination represents his commitment to serving God and people alike — through pastoral care, teaching, and community service.
