Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections

19 March 2026

Every March, organisations, individuals and our community come together to recognise the many contributions of women, reflect on the barriers to equity, justice and access, and commit to progress. It's a wonderful time where we hear stories about incredible women, both current and historic. In that spirit, Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections recently hosted a wonderful International Women's Day event that brought women and girls together in celebration and reflection. It was so special to see girls from Warwick Farm Public School take part, engaging so thoughtfully in the day's activities. A highlight was watching the students support the women at the community hub in a lively Kahoot, exploring the stories and achievements of prominent women. It was a great example of intergenerational learning and connection. I also acknowledge Carole-Anne Priest for her outstanding work in the community. Her dedication to creating inclusive, supportive spaces has made a meaningful difference to so many local families. Events like this play an important role in celebrating the achievements of women while inspiring the next generation to learn, participate and lead. Thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success.
