Siennah Pukeroa

15 October 2025

I wish to congratulate Siennah Pukeroa for her incredible performance at the 2025 World Powerlifting Championships in Costa Rica. At just 17, Siennah proudly represented Australia and came home with the overall gold medal in the +84kg category. Her achievements included gold in the squat, silver in the deadlift, and a world-record-breaking 129.5kg lift in the bench press. Such a feat does not come without its adversities. The psychological and physical pressure placed on the body poses a risk of injury and mental burnout. However, Siennah maintained resilience and managed all these stressors impressively, which contributed to her remarkable accomplishment. Siennah's strength and determination have set a new benchmark for young athletes in our region. Holding 10 national records across two age divisions, she continues to inspire others to aim high and push their limits. Siennah, a student at Freeman Catholic College, is a champion for the South West and a role model for local kids who dream of achieving greatness through hard work and dedication. Congratulations once again to Siennah on her remarkable success and for making our community proud on the world stage.
