Our community is deeply grateful to all who came together for the Splash of Pink afternoon tea, hosted by the Greek Orthodox [GO] Archdiocese's GO Family and Friends women's fellowship, in partnership with the Philoptochos of the Parish of Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene in Liverpool. This beautiful gathering of over 230 women of all ages was more than a fundraiser; it was a demonstration of hope, faith and love. From the opening service led by Father Asterios to honour women lost to cancer, to the heartfelt testimonies, educational talks and meaningful conversations, each moment resonated with compassion and purpose. The generosity of attendees, sponsors, volunteers and speakers meant that $20,000 was raised for the McGrath Foundation to support its mission of providing free cancer care nurses and support to those affected by breast cancer. This outcome is a testament to what a community can achieve when hearts unite for a cause. We honour the memory of those we have lost, stand with those currently navigating this journey, and look forward with hope and care so that no-one faces cancer alone.
